Community Nursing Care

Community nursing is a clinical service. It requires appropriate assessment, nursing judgement, documentation and clear escalation pathways. Care of Australia approaches nursing as a defined professional function rather than an extension of general in-home assistance.

How We Approach It

Clinical information before delivery.

A nursing intake considers the clinical task, current orders or care plans, treating-team information, equipment, infection risks, medication requirements, escalation criteria and whether the requested intervention can be delivered safely in the home.
Who This May Suit

Community-based nursing interventions.

Participants requiring community-based nursing interventions that are within Care of Australia's current clinical capability and the nurse's professional scope.

Quality, Safety & Accountability

Qualified personnel and clear escalation.

Nursing services are allocated to appropriately qualified personnel. Clinical changes are documented and escalated. Emergency or acute medical needs are not substituted with routine community nursing.
Important service note

Care of Australia confirms nursing capacity case by case. Services requiring high-acuity, specialist or continuous clinical care are only accepted where the organisation has the required capability, workforce and approved scope.
