Our Services
Practical assistance should be clear before it begins.
Care of Australia works with participants, families and relevant professionals to define the purpose of each service, the tasks involved, the level of assistance required and the outcomes the participant wants to work towards.
Service availability is confirmed through intake, assessment and an agreed service scope.
A Clear Service Model
We do not start with a generic roster and expect a person to fit around it.
Our intake process is used to understand the participant's routine, preferences, communication needs, identified risks, current arrangements and funded goals. We then determine whether the requested service is within our registration, capability, workforce capacity and geographic service area.
01
Defined scope
The agreed tasks, frequency, location and responsibilities are clarified before commencement.
02
Participant direction
Preferences, routines, cultural considerations and communication choices are incorporated into delivery.
03
Continuity
Where practicable, rostering is designed to reduce unnecessary changes and build familiarity.
04
Documented practice
Relevant instructions, risks, changes and incidents are recorded and escalated through established processes.
05
Professional boundaries
We distinguish between assistance, nursing, housing and capacity-building functions rather than presenting them as interchangeable.
06
Review
Services can be reviewed when goals, circumstances, risks or funded arrangements change.
Service Areas
Services defined around the participant's needs.
The following services form the approved service list supplied for Care of Australia.
↗
Group and Centre Based Activities
Structured group participation can create opportunities for connection, confidence, routine and shared interests. Our approach is to make the activity purposeful and accessible rather than treating attendance itself as the outcome.
↗
Innovative Community Participation
This service is focused on building capacity for meaningful participation where a standard activity model may not be enough. The emphasis is on developing practical confidence, relationships and pathways that can increase a person's involvement in community life.
↗
Specialist Disability Accommodation
SDA is specialised housing for eligible participants with very high support needs or extreme functional impairment. It is different from the personal assistance or daily living services a person may receive in the home.
↗
Community Participation
Community participation is most useful when it connects a person with ordinary life - the places, relationships, interests and responsibilities that matter to them.
↗
Supported Independent Living
SIL is assistance with daily tasks in a participant's home, generally where significant help or supervision is required across the day. It is a support arrangement - not the property itself.
↗
Assistance with Life Stages and Transitions
Periods of change can create practical gaps even when a participant knows what they want. This service provides structured assistance to organise, prepare for and work through changes in everyday life.
↗
Personal Activities
Personal assistance is delivered with attention to privacy, dignity, consent and the participant's established routine. The objective is not simply to complete a task, but to provide the right level of assistance while preserving the person's involvement and preferences.
↗
Travel and Transport Assistance
Transport can be the practical link between a participant and the rest of their life. We approach it as an agreed assistance function with clear destination, purpose, safety and responsibility.
↗
Household Tasks
A safe and functional home environment supports daily living. Household assistance is tailored to the tasks a participant cannot reasonably complete without help and is defined clearly at onboarding.
↗
Development of Daily Living and Life Skills
Capacity building is different from doing a task for someone. This service focuses on learning, practising and strengthening everyday skills in ways that are relevant to the participant's own life.
↗
Community Nursing Care
Community nursing is a clinical service. It requires appropriate assessment, nursing judgement, documentation and clear escalation pathways. Care of Australia approaches nursing as a defined professional function rather than an extension of general in-home assistance.
↗
Daily Tasks in Shared Living
Shared living should not mean losing individual routines, preferences or choice. Assistance with daily tasks in a shared arrangement is planned around the participant while recognising the practical realities of a shared home.
How Services Begin
Good delivery depends on what is established before the first rostered visit.
Our onboarding process is designed to create a shared understanding of what is required and how it will be delivered.
01
Initial conversation
We discuss the requested service, location, preferred schedule, NDIS funding arrangements, immediate priorities and any time-sensitive circumstances.
02
Needs and service-scope assessment
We identify the tasks requested, level of assistance, communication preferences, relevant health or safety information, environmental considerations, mobility requirements, transport needs and the involvement of family members or other providers.
03
Risk and compatibility review
Where relevant, we review foreseeable risks, worker requirements, equipment, manual handling considerations, lone-worker arrangements, clinical instructions and whether additional information is required before commencement.
04
Agreement and commencement
The agreed service scope, schedule, responsibilities, pricing arrangements and communication pathway are documented.
05
Ongoing review
Changes in health, living arrangements, goals, routines or risk may require the service to be reviewed. We aim to address changes early so the service remains appropriate and clearly understood.
Where We Currently Focus
Service availability is confirmed through intake, assessment and an agreed service scope.
Care of Australia provides services across the Hills District, selected parts of the Hawkesbury region, and parts of Blacktown including Tallawong, The Ponds, Stanhope Gardens, Schofields and Riverstone.
Availability in some locations is assessed during onboarding and
depends on the participant's needs, travel requirements and current
workforce capacity.
Choice and Control
Participants remain central to decisions about their services.
Consent, dignity, privacy and supported decision-making are treated as practical requirements in day-to-day delivery, not simply policy language.
Discuss your service needs
Tell us what assistance you are looking for, where you live and what matters most in the arrangement. We will review the request against your needs, our current capability and service availability, then explain the next step clearly.
